Veggie Stir Fry

Rice
1 Carrot
Chinese broccoli (or regular broccoli)
Baby bok choy
1 onion
Garlic
Oyster sauce (or teriyaki sauce) 

Special equiptment: steamer 

Prepare rice according to directions on package. 


Assemble veggies. 


Boil about an inch of water in the pot. 


Set the steamer in the pot. 


Slice onions and set in steamer.  Cover with a lid. 


Slice bok choi lengthwise and then again so that each one is in four pieces. 



 Peel and chop the carrot




Add carrot to onions in the steamer


Once all the bok choi are chopped, 


Cut the tops off the chinese broccoli. 


Open the lid of the steamer (Careful - it's steamy!) 


Add carrots to the pot. Add chopped garlic too.


Add bok choi and broccoli to the pot and cover. 


While veggies are steaming, add sauce to a bowl.



Carefully remove the lid again and turn the veggies with tongs. 


If they're not ready, recover and keep steaming. If they're ready, add the veggies to the bowl with the sauce. 


Toss veggies with sauce. 


Fluff rice with a fork or chopsticks. 


In a bowl, add rice and veggies.
